PETERSBURG, Va. - Notes from final, round 2 qualifying in Pro Extreme at the 2013 ADRL Tour presented by Speedtech, Simply Phones U.S. Drags VI listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Neal Wantye No Time, Now #7; Best prior run: 3.829/198.15, Was #7
Right Lane: Gene Hector Runs 4.799/106.17, Now #8; Best prior run: 5.197/96.08, Was #8

10:54 p.m. Wantye left before the tree was activated. One of Hector's chutes came out early in the run once again - that's twice today.

Left Lane: Joey Martin Runs 6.186/86.53, Now #11; Best prior run: 7.020/83.33, Was #13
Right Lane: Jason Scruggs Runs 3.605/212.43, Now #2; Best prior run: 3.634/208.04, Was #2

Martin shut off early once again. Scruggs made a very nice run, straight and smooth.

Jason Scruggs' incremental times: 60ft-0.917 sec., 330ft-2.436.

Left Lane: Danny Lowry Runs 4.336/143.66, Now #8; Best prior run: 5.764/88.54, Was #10
Right Lane: Bubba Stanton Runs 6.642/84.94, Now #13; Best prior run: 7.018/68.03, Was #13

Something came off of Stanton's car - possibly a blower belt. Lowry was way off the pace early in the run - but he still improved.

Looks like we are going to run a few minutes past the curfew. Hey, it's Saturday night!

Nice run by Tutterow. Snider once again struggled, surprising after running well at Cordova.

George is in the School Bus this weekend. He made a move toward the wall and lifted. Smith made a nice run to move into the top half of the field.

Right Lane: Mick Snyder Runs 3.832/183.52, Now #4; Best prior run: 3.680/203.40, Was #4

Stanley shook and slowed. Snyder's car left hard, then it looked like there was a spray of fuel followed by a big flash of flame and he slowed.

D'Aprile left hard, .883 for the first 60 feet, but he started rattling the tires and lifted.
