LAS VEGAS - Results of round 1 eliminations in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 14th annual SummitRacing.com NHRA Nationals:

Weather conditions: air temperature 83 degrees, relative humidity 18 percent, barometer 27.68 inches, adjusted altitude 4,581 feet, track temperature 96 degrees.

This is the first time McKernan and Hunter have faced each other in eliminations. Hunter with the starting line advantage, but McKeran has the lead by 400 feet and the runs here quickest pass of the weekend for the win. Hunter with his quickest pass of the weekend in the losing effort.

This is the first time Bateman and Carroll have faced each other in eliminations. This was a great drag race. Carroll with the starting line advantage and the lead until just past half track. Bateman was able to drive around and hold on for the win by 0.0017 seconds (approximately 8 inches). Bateman will give up lane choice to Severance in the next round.
