WYNNEWOOD, Okla. -- Elite Performance has made some impressive changes to its engine program by acquiring JEG's JNR Racing Engines. Well known engine builder, Nick Ferri, who helped establish the initial JNR program, is partnering with Elite to open new doors and expand their reach into other categories.

Ferri has been a crucial part of numerous team achievements since the beginning of his career in 1986. He led JEGS to their 2002 Pro Stock Championship, was on board with Cagnazzi Racing for their 2007 Pro Stock Championship and then led Mike Edwards to his Championship in 2009. In 2012, Ferri, along with Roy Simmons, headed up JEG's JNR Mopar program. Now Ferri is partnering with Elite Performance to offer a broader range of engine solutions for clients in a variety of classes.

"Richard [Freeman, owner of Elite Performance] and I have known each other for over 20 years," relayed Ferri. "I have had the pleasure of working with some wonderful teams in Pro Stock and I've seen a lot of success. One thing that I hadn't done was to work on something of my own. When Richard opened the door to partner with him, I knew this was the direction I needed to go. We're looking forward to branching out of the Pro Stock world and taking on new customers."

Richard Freeman, head of Elite Performance and its sister company, Elite Motorsports, is thrilled about the new direction of their engine program:

"We couldn't be more excited about working with Nick and building our engine program. We will offer everything from Super Stock and Top Sportsman engines to Pro Mod and Pro Stock. Elite Performance Engines will not just be for the professional team.

"As a hobby racer I will continue running ten to twelve NHRA Pro Stock events each year, but I'm not looking to develop an in-house program. My goal isn't to pursue an Elite Motorsports Championship, but, rather, to provide top quality and Championship capable engines in several classes through Elite Performance.

"We are putting the industry's best parts on our engines, like Jesel Valve Trains and CFE heads and manifolds. We are already working with Carl Foltz of CFE on some R&D for our program. We are determined to be one of the top engine programs in the industry. With the best products and a Championship caliber engine guru in Nick Ferri, we're already well on our way.

Elite Performance will be moving the engine shop from it's current base in Mooresville, NC to the be under the Elite umbrella in Oklahoma. 2013 racing plans also include continuing the Top Sportsman program with Royce Freeman behind the wheel.

Elite Motorsports also continues to provide the top online outlet for buying and selling cars, transporters, parts and more. www.elitemotorsportsllc.com
