SAN DIMAS, Calif. -- Jam-Air Motorsports is pleased to announce that effective immediately, Chris Nance has been brought in as Co-Crew Chief of the Jam-Air Special Nitro Funny Car and will work alongside current crew chief Shane McWilliams.

"Name titles are not important to me or this team. The titles we are concerned with are the ones that come from putting trophies on the shelf"said co-crew chief Shane McWilliams. "Our goal with this team is to be the most consistent car in the class and run the big number when needed without murdering a bunch of parts. We made a lot of progress at the reunion and we are looking to capitalize on that success moving forward. Chris played a big part in that success behind the scenes."

"This is a natural progression of a great relationship" said co-owner and driver Will Martin. "Shane grew up around Chris and has worked with him back on the Western Hoist car, Dave Smith's big show car, and now ours. Their relationship reminds you a lot of brothers and they are a lot of fun to be around. The combination of Chris & Shane calling the shots gives us the best chance for making a championship run at this level which has been our goal from day 1."

Chris brings over 20 plus years of nitro racing experience to the team. "Chris has a reputation of being one of the best with fuel systems" said team co-owner John Martin. "He's also one of the nicest guys you will ever meet at the track and we look forward to racing with him for many years to come." With a proven track record of running hard and not hurting parts, Chris is a great addition to the team.

"This is the first of a few announcements we have coming over the next few weeks. 2013 is looking very promising"
