Full Throttle Hard-Working Crew Award ($3,000 each to Top Fuel and Funny Car and $1,500 to
Pro Stock for the crews that are recognized as the hardest working of the event):
Top Fuel: Tony Schumacher for overcoming large points deficit coming into Pomona and
putting themselves in position to win the world championship
Funny Car: Jack Beckman for overcoming mid-season crew swap with teammate Ron Capps to win
first world title.
Pro Stock: Allen Johnson for 17 years of hard work and dedication that paid off for Roy
and Allen Johnson en route to first Pro Stock world championship.
Pro Stock Motorcycle: Eddie Krawiec for working hard to put the team in position to win a
record tying 10th race in a single season with Matt Hines.
