Pro Stock Motorcycle Qualifying Notes, Final Session

MOHNTON, Pa. - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 28th annual Auto-Plus NHRA Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Connie Cohen No Time, Now #17; Best prior run: 9.365/110.81, Was #17

2:22 p.m. - Weather conditions: air temperature 68 degrees, relative humidity 58 percent, barometer 29.29 inches, adjusted altitude 1,919 feet, track temperature 78 degrees.

Cohen was not able to get her motorcycle started for her final qualifying attempt. She was not in the field so she will not be returning for eliminations.


Left Lane: Wesley Wells Runs 7.073/189.98, Now #15; Best prior run: 7.072/189.42, Was #15
Right Lane: Craig Treble No Time, Now #16; Best prior run: 7.269/154.33, Was #16

Treble had his bike started when it died before he staged. He and his crew tried to get it restarted but were not able to do so. Wells was just a bit slower than this afternoon and will stay where he was in the qualifying order.

Left Lane: Shawn Gann Runs 6.991/192.63, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.967/190.57, Was #12
Right Lane: Michael Phillips Runs 7.163/188.46, Now #14; Best prior run: 7.013/189.23, Was #14

Neither rider was quicker than this morning.

Left Lane: John Hall Runs 7.220/181.45, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.963/186.54, Was #11
Right Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 6.931/192.63, Now #8; Best prior run: 7.009/181.96, Was #13

Johnson had his quickest run of the weekend and moved up five spots in the qualifying order. That pushed Hall down one spot.

Left Lane: Scotty Pollacheck No Time, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.954/188.99, Was #11
Right Lane: LE Tonglet Runs 6.877/193.18, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.934/193.43, Was #10

Pollacheck could not get his motorcycle started. Tonglet moved up five spots with his quickest pass of the weekend so far.

Left Lane: Chip Ellis Runs 6.898/193.71, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.932/193.05, Was #10
Right Lane: Michael Ray Runs 11.460/66.44, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.910/189.76, Was #7

Ellis had a good ride to move up one spot, Ray got pushed down as a result.

Left Lane: Karen Stoffer Runs 6.902/192.85, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.924/191.62, Was #9
Right Lane: Matt Smith Runs 6.893/194.52, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.885/193.99, Was #6

Stoffer moved up one spot, Smith stayed where he was.

Left Lane: Hector Arana Jr Runs 6.968/168.91, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.853/195.70, Was #4
Right Lane: Andrew Hines Runs 6.824/195.85, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.840/193.85, Was #3

Hines had his best run of the four qualifying sessions to move into the second spot in the order for now.

Left Lane: Eddie Krawiec Runs 6.799/196.56, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.821/196.19, Was #1
Right Lane: Hector Arana Runs 7.448/193.79, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.834/194.46, Was #3

Krawiec had the quickest ET of the weekend so far and stays at the top of the order. That's it for Pro Stock Bike qualifying here.
