Pro Stock Motorcycle Qualifying Notes, Session #2

MOHNTON, Pa. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 28th annual Auto-Plus NHRA Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Craig Treble Runs 7.037/191.13, Now #13; Best prior run: 7.037/191.13, Was #13

4:39 p.m. - Weather conditions: air temperature 79 degrees, relative humidity 47 percent, barometer 29.42 inches, adjusted altitude 2,578 feet, track temperature 92 degrees.

Treble moved up three spots in the order with a clean run down the track.


Left Lane: Wesley Wells Runs 7.091/182.70, Now #15; Best prior run: 7.115/183.94, Was #16

Wells moved up one spot with a ride down the groove.

Left Lane: Scotty Pollacheck Runs 6.971/188.17, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.996/182.65, Was #12
Right Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 7.039/189.47, Now #14; Best prior run: 7.096/188.49, Was #16

Pollacheck moved up one spot, Johnson moved up two.

Left Lane: Chip Ellis Runs 6.932/193.05, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.975/190.65, Was #12
Right Lane: Michael Phillips Runs 7.060/189.82, Now #15; Best prior run: 7.061/185.49, Was #15

Ellis moved into the top half of the order for now with a good ride down the track. Phillips was just 0.001 seconds quicker than the first time out so he'll stay where he was in the order.

Right Lane: LE Tonglet Runs 6.934/193.43, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.962/190.11, Was #9

Tonglet was quicker than earlier today but it had no effect on the qualifying order.

Left Lane: John Hall Runs 7.027/168.60, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.963/186.54, Was #10
Right Lane: Matt Smith Runs 6.885/193.99, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.918/191.54, Was #6

It's a familiar scene now....riders go a bit quicker than the first session, but either stay where they were in the order or move up just one spot.

Left Lane: Karen Stoffer Runs 6.952/192.33, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.924/191.62, Was #7
Right Lane: Michael Ray Runs 6.953/191.51, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.910/189.76, Was #6

Stoffer and Ray were both a bit slower than this afternoon.

Left Lane: Hector Arana Jr Runs 6.856/195.45, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.853/195.70, Was #3
Right Lane: Andrew Hines Runs 6.853/195.93, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.854/189.76, Was #4

Arana was a little bit slower than this afternoon, Hines was a little bit quicker.

Left Lane: Eddie Krawiec Runs 6.821/196.19, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.842/196.13, Was #2
Right Lane: Hector Arana Runs 7.274/146.73, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.834/194.46, Was #1

Krawiec had the quickest ride of the day to take over the number one spot in the qualifying order. Arana was off the pace and dropped down to number two.
