MISSION, B.C. - Notes from final, round 3 qualifying in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, Northwest Division, LORDCO Auto Parts BC Nationals at Mission Raceway listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Jeff Ashwell No Time, Now #5; Best prior run: 5.935/241.09, Was #5

3:27 pm. Ashwell zings the engine on the burnout. Not good when the crew is driving the tow rig down the track to tow him off.

Left Lane: Brian Hough Runs 5.683/253.18, Now #4; Best prior run: 5.700/249.90, Was #4
Right Lane: Clint Thompson Runs 5.673/258.37, Now #2; Best prior run: 5.646/259.11, Was #2

Hough makes a really nice run, he improves his time but does not move up in the field. Thompson with another solid run in the .60's.

Brian Hough's incremental times: 60ft-0.950 sec., 330ft-2.520, 660ft-3.753/201.25 mph, 1,000ft-4.797.
Clint Thompson's incremental times: 60ft-0.938 sec., 330ft-2.515, 660ft-3.763/201.55 mph, 1,000ft-4.800.

Right Lane: Steve Gasparrelli Runs 5.596/261.32, Now #1; Best prior run: 5.638/261.09, Was #1

Great run for Gasparrelli, he makes the quickest run of the weekend and goes into the .50's
