BATON ROUGE, La. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Fuel Dragster at the 2012 Nitro Jam Series, IHRA Mardi Gras Nitro Jam presented by Domino's Pizza, Day One:

"Ladies First." Both ladies had traction problems, Dennis up in smoke immediately, Smallwood at half track. Smallwood gets the win, coasting.

The winner here will face Smallwood in the championship round, the loser will face Dennis in the consolation round.

Evans had to pedal once to regain traction, Samsel had to slap the throttle several times. Evans will face Smallwood in the money round, Samsel will race Dennis in the consolation matchup.
