Greven Takes Major Role for Meyer Motorsports, Fun Ford Weekend, Super Chevy Show

ENNIS, Texas -- Kevin Greven has spent more than 15 years in the motorsports industry and will be bringing his knowledge, passion and love of the sport to Meyer Motorsports effective immediately.

Greven has been hired as the new Vice President of Business Development for Meyer Motorsports and will handle partnership development for the famed Billy Meyer-owned drag strip Texas Motorplex, and two nationally loved series', Fun Ford Weekend and Super Chevy Show.

"We are thrilled to have someone with his experience and ability to join our newly expanded sales team," Meyer said. "Kevin has run a motorsports facility; he has handled national sales accounts and brings a wealth of knowledge to our team. It's an exciting time for both the Fun Ford Weekend and Super Chevy Show and Kevin will make the experience even better for fans, participants and sponsors."

Both the Fun Ford Weekend and Super Chevy Show recently announced expanded national schedules for 2012 and Greven said he is anxious to expand the partners involved with each series as well.

"I'm proud to be part of the Meyer Motorsports team and be able to help bring greater awareness and sponsor partnerships to the Motorplex and two national series'," Greven said. "Super Chevy Show is wrapping up its second year under new ownership and Fun Ford Weekend will enjoy its first full schedule of events in years when the series opens at Royal Purple Raceway (Baytown, Texas) in 2012

"These are widely popular events and venues and I'm proud I get to work with the most aggressive and experience track operators in the country. It's going to be a great partnership."

Texas Motorplex was the first all-concrete stadium-style drag racing facility ever constructed. Built in 1986, Texas Motorplex has been the place of many drag racing milestones and world record performances. The Billy Meyer-owned facility hosts a number of racing and car show events between March and November each year and also features the Champion's Club - an 11,000 square-foot facility - that serves fully catered events throughout the year.
