YPSILANTI, Mich. -- Kalitta Motorsports in Pomona TYPE:STORY Motorsports in Pomona To honor all of the brave service men and women who serve in the United States Armed Forces, DHL and Kalitta Motorsports are offering a unique behind-the-scenes opportunity next Friday, Veterans Day, Nov.11 during qualifying of the 47th annual running of the Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals, Nov. 10-13, at legendary Auto Club Raceway at Pomona (Calif.), just a few miles east of Los Angeles.

Military personnel who have already gained admittance to the event and who have valid military identification will be allowed V.I.P. access into the DHL/Kalitta Motorsports pit-side hospitality area for Veterans Day. Military guests will be able to enjoy complimentary snacks and soft drinks as well as have exclusive views and photo opportunities of the teams and drivers of Kalitta Motorsports.

DHL proudly sponsors the DHL Toyota Camry Funny Car driven by Jeff Arend in the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, which completes the 2011 season with the 22nd and final event of the year in Pomona.

Team Kalitta NHRA hot rods also competing in Pomona include the Kalitta Air Top Fuel dragster driven by David Grubnic, the Kalitta Air Top Fuel dragster driven by Doug Kalitta, and the Tequila Patr?n Toyota Camry Funny Car driven by 2012 Rookie of the Year candidate Alexis DeJoria.
