They leave close together and run side by side right on down the track. Bartone takes the close win, as mcGee's engine fails in the lights. Bartone was running 1214.86 MPR at half track.

Young goes in deep, but Harris is away first and pulls steadily ahead down the track. Young's car slows quickly on the top end and Harris gets the win. He gives up lane choice in the final round.
