Pro Stock Qualifying Notes, Final Session

MOHNTON, Pa. - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 27th annual Auto-Plus NHRA Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Frank Gugliotta Runs 6.683/204.08, Now #18; Best prior run: 6.681/205.76, Was #17
Right Lane: Mark Martino Runs 6.646/208.14, Now #17; Best prior run: 18.193/44.66, Was #20

Weather conditions: air temperature 62 degrees, relative humidity 63 percent, barometer 29.14 inches, adjusted altitude 1,671 feet, track temperature 76 degrees.

Martino with his fastest pass this season, but will not get in the show. Mark Martino's incremental times: 60ft-0.988 sec., 330ft-2.784, 660ft-4.278/164.73 mph, 1,000ft-5.563. No help here for Gugliotta and he will not get in the show.

Left Lane: Shane Gray Runs 6.567/210.28, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.599/209.79, Was #15
Right Lane: Buddy Perkinson Runs 6.602/209.92, Now #16; Best prior run: 11.874/74.03, Was #20

Gray with a real nice pass to get into top half of the show. Shane Gray's incremental times: 60ft-0.969 sec., 330ft-2.741, 660ft-4.221/166.76 mph, 1,000ft-5.495. Perkinson gets into the show on the bubble. Buddy Perkinson's incremental times: 60ft-0.986 sec., 330ft-2.770, 660ft-4.252/165.90 mph, 1,000ft-5.528.

Left Lane: Bob Benza No Time, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.598/208.68, Was #15
Right Lane: Grace Howell Runs 6.609/209.07, Now #17; Best prior run: 9.128/94.93, Was #20

Howell launched hard and runs her career quickest and fastest pass, but just misses the show. Grace Howell's incremental times: 60ft-0.981 sec., 330ft-2.765, 660ft-4.252/165.70 mph, 1,000ft-5.531.

Left Lane: Vincent Nobile Runs 6.596/210.77, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.578/210.73, Was #14
Right Lane: V. Gaines Runs 6.570/210.41, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.611/209.62, Was #18

No luck here for Nobile and he will start 15th...Gaines with a real nice pass to get in the show and that will bump out Perkinson. V. Gaines' incremental times: 60ft-0.972 sec., 330ft-2.746, 660ft-4.226/166.33 mph, 1,000ft-5.499.

Left Lane: Kurt Johnson Runs 6.628/209.20, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.576/210.21, Was #14
Right Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 6.576/209.98, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.570/210.11, Was #12

Neither driver improves...Kurt Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.997 sec., 330ft-2.783, 660ft-4.272/165.44 mph, 1,000ft-5.552.
Greg Stanfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.975 sec., 330ft-2.748, 660ft-4.227/166.15 mph, 1,000ft-5.502.

Left Lane: Allen Johnson Runs 12.617/69.41, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.571/210.97, Was #13
Right Lane: Rodger Brogdon Runs 6.563/210.57, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.560/210.70, Was #6

Johnson shook and pushed in the clutch...Brogdon with another good pass, but will not improve. this is the quickest pass of the round. Rodger Brogdon's incremental times: 60ft-0.977 sec., 330ft-2.747, 660ft-4.222/166.85 mph, 1,000ft-5.493.

Left Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 6.560/210.67, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.569/210.41, Was #10
Right Lane: Ron Krisher Runs 6.566/210.87, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.558/210.60, Was #5

Morgan with a great pass, his quickest of the weekend and the quickest of the round to get into the top half of the show. Larry Morgan's incremental times: 60ft-0.971 sec., 330ft-2.742, 660ft-4.219/166.64 mph, 1,000ft-5.490. Krisher with his quickest pass of the weekend and the third quickest pass of the round, but he will stay fifth. Ron Krisher's incremental times: 60ft-0.974 sec., 330ft-2.751, 660ft-4.227/166.97 mph, 1,000ft-5.498.

Left Lane: Warren Johnson Runs 6.586/209.88, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.567/209.88, Was #10
Right Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 9.855/93.76, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.533/212.03, Was #4

Anderson shakes the tires and pushes in the clutch. No help here for Johnson and he will stay in the number 10 spot. Warren Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.970 sec., 330ft-2.753, 660ft-4.238/166.27 mph, 1,000ft-5.513.

Left Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.565/210.93, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.567/210.83, Was #8
Right Lane: Mike Edwards Runs 6.544/211.26, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.528/211.76, Was #3

Enders with her quickest pass this weekend, but will stay in the number eight spot. Erica Enders' incremental times: 60ft-0.972 sec., 330ft-2.752, 660ft-4.227/167.16 mph, 1,000ft-5.496. Edwards with the quickest pass of the round, but will not improve. Mike Edwards' incremental times: 60ft-0.961 sec., 330ft-2.733, 660ft-4.208/166.95 mph, 1,000ft-5.477.

Left Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.517/211.83, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.513/211.36, Was #1
Right Lane: Ronnie Humphrey Runs 6.546/211.10, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.525/211.20, Was #2

Humphrey with another good pass, but will not improve. He will start from the number two position and that is the second highest qualifying position he has ever started on Sunday. Line launched hard and keep it hooked up to run the quickest pass of the round. Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.966 sec., 330ft-2.725, 660ft-4.191/168.07 mph, 1,000ft-5.453. Line qualifies number one for the 24th time in his career.
