NORWALK, Ohio - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, Fifth annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Steve Schmidt Runs 6.725/204.42, Now #1
Right Lane: Mark Hogan Runs 7.183/145.53, Now #2

Weather conditions: air temperature 67 degrees, relative humidity 64 percent, barometer 28.94 inches, adjusted altitude 2,311 feet, track temperature 74 degrees.

Hogan pushed in the clutch early and coasted on through the quarter-mile. Schmidt with a clean pass, his first of the year. Steve Schmidt's incremental times: 60ft-0.990 sec., 330ft-2.812, 660ft-4.325/162.80 mph, 1,000ft-5.628.

Krisher sat on the starting line for a long time after the light turned green and then blast on through the 1320 with a real nice pass. Richard Freeman is on the bump spot at 6.643. Edwards with violent tire shake as soon as he let the clutch out and pushes it back in...Line launched hard and was straight down the groove to go to the number two spot.
