BRISTOL, Tenn. - Notes from final, round 3 qualifying in Pro Modified at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 11th annual Ford NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals presented by Tri-Cities Area Ford Dealers listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Right Lane: Jay Payne Runs 6.119/237.30, Now #10; No Prior Run

Payne made a quick move toward the centerline, but reeled it in to get into the show. Jay Payne's incremental times: 60ft-1.055 sec., 330ft-2.717, 660ft-4.037/186.56 mph, 1,000ft-5.169.

Left Lane: Scott Ray Runs 9.590/86.69, Now #19; Best prior run: 8.791/104.23, Was #19
Right Lane: Steve Matusek Runs 7.161/221.38, Now #18; Best prior run: 6.567/237.21, Was #18

Matusek is up in smoke as soon as the light turns green. Ray is up in smoke around 150 feet out.

Left Lane: Chip King Runs 6.163/250.97, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.302/230.76, Was #17
Right Lane: Mike Knowles Runs 6.174/236.22, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.226/191.00, Was #15

This was a good side-by-side drag race...King gets back into the show. Chip King's incremental times: 60ft-1.075 sec., 330ft-2.909, 660ft-4.186/194.60 mph, 1,000ft-5.263. Knowles with his quickest pass this weekend to move up the ladder two spots. Mike Knowles' incremental times: 60ft-1.032 sec., 330ft-2.734, 660ft-4.076/185.13 mph, 1,000ft-5.218.

Left Lane: Mike Janis Runs 6.088/237.09, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.024/186.25, Was #7
Right Lane: Ed Hoover Runs 6.191/234.17, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.224/233.64, Was #16

Hoover with his quickest pass of the weekend to get off the bubble. Ed Hoover's incremental times: 60ft-1.045 sec., 330ft-2.741, 660ft-4.084/184.72 mph, 1,000ft-5.229. Janis won't improve, but another good looking pass. Mike Janis' incremental times: 60ft-1.020 sec., 330ft-2.685, 660ft-4.011/193.88 mph, 1,000ft-5.138.

Left Lane: Danny Rowe Runs 6.030/241.63, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.243/203.98, Was #17
Right Lane: Troy Coughlin Runs 6.127/243.37, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.133/242.80, Was #11

Coughlin with his quickest pass of the weekend, but Rowe bumps him back one spot. Rowe with his quickest pass of the weekend to move into the top half of the show. Danny Rowe's incremental times: 60ft-1.011 sec., 330ft-2.678, 660ft-3.988/190.24 mph, 1,000ft-5.098.

Right Lane: Dennis Radford Runs 6.425/164.47, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.030/235.60, Was #9

Lang with his quickest pass of the weekend to get in the show. Kenny Lang's incremental times: 60ft-1.023 sec., 330ft-2.708, 660ft-4.040/186.87 mph, 1,000ft-5.169. Radford started to smoke to lose traction and clicked it off.

Right Lane: Raymond Commisso Runs 6.024/241.28, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.023/241.80, Was #6

Commisso with another good looking pass...Raymond Commisso's incremental times: 60ft-0.989 sec., 330ft-2.653, 660ft-3.973/189.04 mph, 1,000ft-5.089. Burgess with his quickest pass of the weekend to move up the ladder four spots. Roger Burgess' incremental times: 60ft-1.038 sec., 330ft-2.759, 660ft-4.025/196.82 mph, 1,000ft-5.091.

Left Lane: Leah Pruett-LeDuc No Time, Now #3; Best prior run: 5.987/241.89, Was #3
Right Lane: Khalid Balooshi No Time, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.014/242.15, Was #5
