ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 42nd annual NHRA SuperNationals:

12:16 p.m. - Weather conditions: air temperature 75 degrees, relative humidity 51 percent, barometer 29.99 inches, adjusted altitude 1,631 feet, track temperature 99 degrees.

Matt Smith won here in 2006. He and his wife, Angie, have raced each other five times with Matt winning four of those races. Angie got off the starting line first and was ahead at 660 feet. After that, Matt pulled way with his career best ET to take the win.

Phillips won here last year and had a 3-2 record against Tonglet in prior competition. Tonglet was first off the starting line but his motorcycle slowed at mid track, letting Phillips get by for the win.

Ellis and Finley had never raced each other prior to this event. Finley had this one from start to finish.

Underdahl's father, Greg, went to the final round here in 1998 and 1999. Arana has a 3-2 record against Underdahl in prior competition. He will have lane choice over Andrew Hines in the next round.

Stoffer was runner up here in 2005 and 2006, Tonglet was runner up in 2001. Stoffer has four wins and two losses in prior competition against Tonglet. This race was Stoffer's from start to finish. She'll have lane choice over Phillips in round two.

Krawiec was runner up here in 2009 and had a 3-0 record against Pippin in previous races. Pippin was first off the starting line by 15 hundredths, and led the race at 660 feet. Krawiec got by him after that for the win. Krawiec will race Matt Smith in the next round and Smith will have lane choice.

The only time these two have raced each other before this was at Gainesville earlier this year. Savoie, an alligator farmer, won that race. He got the win here and will have lane choice over Finley in the next round.
