ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Modified at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 42nd annual NHRA SuperNationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Chip King Runs 11.272/78.75, Now #16; Best prior run: 43.488/20.67, Was #21

King is up in smoke right off the starting line and finally lifts around 400 feet.

Left Lane: Donald Martin Runs 5.909/229.43, Now #3; Best prior run: 18.079/39.02, Was #21
Right Lane: Pete Farber Runs 6.368/230.92, Now #14; Best prior run: 13.297/62.12, Was #19

Martin with a career best pass to get into the show. Donald Martin's incremental times: 60ft-0.971 sec., 330ft-2.604, 660ft-3.887/194.10 mph, 1,000ft-4.971. Farber with a good clean pass to get in the show. Pete Farber's incremental times: 60ft-0.999 sec., 330ft-2.841, 660ft-4.234/180.74 mph, 1,000ft-5.394.

Left Lane: Raymond Commisso Runs 5.998/247.20, Now #8; Best prior run: 13.991/72.27, Was #21
Right Lane: Troy Coughlin Runs 6.083/238.60, Now #11; Best prior run: 8.929/104.03, Was #15

Commisso with a real nice pass...Raymond Commisso's incremental times: 60ft-0.999 sec., 330ft-2.678, 660ft-3.988/191.13 mph, 1,000ft-5.083. Coughlin moves up the ladder. Troy Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-1.041 sec., 330ft-2.719, 660ft-4.016/191.19 mph, 1,000ft-5.137.

Left Lane: Kenny Lang Runs 6.021/246.39, Now #9; Best prior run: 12.606/88.28, Was #21
Right Lane: Roger Burgess Runs 12.647/73.98, Now #16; Best prior run: 6.348/191.51, Was #15

Weather conditions: air temperature 78 degrees, relative humidity 28 percent, barometer 29.92 inches, adjusted altitude 1,729 feet, track temperature 107 degrees.

Burgess is real loose right off the starting line and clicks it off. Lang goes straight down the groove to get in the show and that lowers the bump. Kenny Lang's incremental times: 60ft-1.014 sec., 330ft-2.702, 660ft-4.008/191.08 mph, 1,000ft-5.105. Roger Burgess is on the bump spot at 6.348.

Right Lane: Mike Knowles Runs 6.268/236.96, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.257/239.23, Was #14

Rowe launched hard and keep it hooked up to get in the show all the way up to the number three spot. Danny Rowe's incremental times: 60ft-0.976 sec., 330ft-2.609, 660ft-3.892/194.21 mph, 1,000ft-4.979. No help here for Knowles...

Left Lane: Leah Pruett-LeDuc Runs 5.901/248.98, Now #4; Best prior run: 10.268/84.19, Was #20

Pruett-LeDuc with a great pass, straight down the groove to the number four spot. Leah Pruett-LeDuc's incremental times: 60ft-0.960 sec., 330ft-2.607, 660ft-3.903/192.55 mph, 1,000ft-4.992.

Left Lane: Dennis Radford Runs 6.014/237.88, Now #11; Best prior run: 10.237/90.94, Was #20
Right Lane: Ed Hoover Runs 13.560/71.75, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.043/245.05, Was #13

Hoover is real loose right at the hit and clicks it off. Radford with a good pass to get in the show and bump out Knowles. Dennis Radford's incremental times: 60ft-1.015 sec., 330ft-2.665, 660ft-3.961/190.81 mph, 1,000ft-5.070.

Left Lane: Jay Payne Runs 7.016/227.69, Now #18; Best prior run: 6.348/246.71, Was #18

Payne is up in smoke and clicks it off by 330 feet.

Left Lane: Khalid Balooshi Runs 9.681/92.23, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.030/240.04, Was #13
Right Lane: Brad Personett Runs 16.758/69.25, Now #7; Best prior run: 5.944/254.62, Was #7

Personett with problems as soon as he lets out the clutch. Balooshi starts to smoke the tires and clicks it off.

Left Lane: Mike Janis Runs 5.837/246.57, Now #2; Best prior run: 5.994/242.45, Was #9
Right Lane: Rickie Smith Runs 5.903/242.06, Now #3; Best prior run: 5.881/242.50, Was #2

Janis with a great pass to go to the number two spot. Mike Janis' incremental times: 60ft-0.980 sec., 330ft-2.576, 660ft-3.844/195.53 mph, 1,000ft-4.924. smith was right there with him to the number three spot. Rickie Smith's incremental times: 60ft-0.977 sec., 330ft-2.609, 660ft-3.887/193.71 mph, 1,000ft-4.977.

Left Lane: Mike Castellana Runs 6.590/159.68, Now #7; Best prior run: 5.934/241.84, Was #7
Right Lane: Melanie Troxel Runs 5.800/258.71, Now #1; Best prior run: 5.808/257.33, Was #1

Castellana shook and clicked it off...Troxel with the quickest and fastest pass in the history of the Get Screened America Pro Mod series and she will set both ends of the record. Melanie Troxel's incremental times: 60ft-0.996 sec., 330ft-2.656, 660ft-3.890/202.58 mph, 1,000ft-4.928.
