TORONTO --
Thanks to Bruce Biegler of DragRaceCanada and some of his high-powered friends, the Canadian Motorsports Expo will feature several incredible drag cars. Biegler - who is also the Drag Racing Editor for Inside Track Motorsport News - is a highly respected member of the drag racing community, and when he put out the call to support Canada's Ultimate Racing Show, they responded. Confirmed for the show, so far, are: * Canada's only NHRA legal Pro Stocker, driven by Mark Martino of Stoney Creek, Ontario. The car is a 2010 Pontiac GXP with a 500 cubic inch displacement (CID) powerplant.
* Gus Mantas' stunning blue '68 Barracuda NHRA Super Stock (SS/AH) drag car, powered by a 426 CID Hemi. Mantas hails from Toronto, Ontario. Speaking about the drag racing content that will be on display January 21-23 at the Canadian Motorsports Expo, Bruce Biegler Editor/Owner of DragRaceCanada.com said, "DragRaceCanada is very pleased and honoured to co-present the 'Quarter-Mile Corral' at the 5th Annual CME. The Corral will showcase Canadian drag racing at an important motorsports venue, at a time when Canadian drag racers continue to push the performance envelope. We'll have a number of top-rated cars on display that are a perfect example of that."
ABOUT THE CME: The Canadian Motorsports Expo is a three-day celebration of Canadian racing that runs January 21, 22 and 23, 2011 at the International Centre (6900 Airport Road in Mississauga).
