MOHNTON, Pa. -- The Geezers Reunion at The Grove presented by Yuengling has been included in the 2011 NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series as an Affiliate Event, NHRA officials announced today.

The 10th annual Geezers Reunion at The Grove, the second affiliate event and seventh race overall in the '11 Hot Rod Heritage schedule, will be held July 2-3.

The race will feature 16 nostalgia racers taking part in the NAPA Auto Parts Cavalcade of Funny Cars. Other major highlights of the event include a Cacklefest, car show and several sportsman competition classes.

The event will have several classes of cars, including bracket racing for cars 1984 and older with separate categories for electronics and no electronics; the Northeast Timing Organization; the Mid Atlantic Nostalgia Drag Racers Association; East Coast Gassers; and the 422 All-Stars.

The NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series was developed in 2008 to help preserve NHRA's rich history and tradition while providing racing opportunities for those enthusiasts who enjoy nostalgia drag racing competition.
