HENDERSON, Nev. --
23-year-old UNLV student Justin Lamb closed out another successful season of NHRA competition in
2010. Lamb, who has proven his versatility at a young age with victories in Competition
Eliminator, Top Dragster, Super Stock, Super Comp, and Super Gas along the NHRA trail in addition
to various big dollar bracket events, added to his impressive resume with a strong 2010 campaign.
In April, Lamb earned the Super Stock crown at his home track, The Strip at Las Vegas Motor
Speedway, when he drove his familiar Mad Cap Engines powered Cobalt to victory at the
SummitRacing.com NHRA Nationals. The win marked Lamb's first national event victory at Las Vegas,
and made for a special weekend for him and his family.
"Winning any national event is a big deal, but to win here at home is really special," Lamb said
following the Vegas victory. "I was runner-up in Super Gas here last year, but I hadn't won the
big one here at the Strip, so that's a special treat for me, my parents, and our family."

Although scholastic commitments kept Lamb away from the track more than he'd prefer throughout the
Spring and Fall months, he was able to enjoy a great deal of success along NHRA's Western Swing, a
series of events in which Lamb has earned a reputation for dominating over the past several
seasons. This year Justin and his Race Tech Super Gas Camaro put together an incredible
performance over just an eight day span. Justin reached the final round of Super Gas at the NHRA
Northwest Nationals in Seattle, WA only to be disqualified on a freak staging violation. A week
later, former 2-time Super Comp World Champion and current Top Fuel pilot Shawn Langdon drove the
same Camaro to the Super Gas victory at the FRAM Autolite NHRA Nationals in Sonoma, CA. As if two
final rounds in as many weeks weren't enough, Lamb took the reigns back from Langdon and captured
the title in the weather delayed NHRA Arizona Nationals (also contested in Sonoma) on the very next
day! The family Super Gas machine posted an unheard of 19-1 round win record in national event
competition over the eight day stretch, with Lamb earning a win and runner-up in addition to
Langdon's victory.
Lamb's pair of NHRA National event wins in 2010 boost his career total to 8, and he is by far the
youngest of a handful of competitors who have managed to win national crowns in four separate
categories (Lamb's have come in Top Dragster (1), Super Stock (3), Super Comp (2), and Super Gas
(2). His final round record at NHRA National events is an impressive 8-4, with runner-up finishes
in Competition Eliminator, Super Stock and Super Gas (2). He finished the 2010 campaign ranked
21st in NHRA Lucas Oil Super Gas points standings, the seventh top 50 finish of his young career.
This season Justin wasn't the only Lamb behind the wheel, as his sister Ryen took the controls of
the families Race Tech dragster. Ryen, just sixteen, drove her dragster in limited competition
appearances and has already shown signs of natural talent behind the wheel.
"Racing with Ryen has been a lot of fun," said Justin. "She does a good job in the car and she's
come a long way. She's gone a bunch of rounds lately, and at this level especially considering her
limited experience, she's been very impressive."
The Lamb Motorsports team is partnered with V. Gaines and Madcap Racing Engines, and relies on
support from the following marketing partners: Sunstate Companies, Matco Tools, Madcap Racing
Engines, Goodyear, Redback Boots, Palmer Electric, Racetech Dragsters, B&B racecars, Lucas Oil, K&N
Filters, and Arnie Martel Racing. Both Justin and Ryen also wished to thank their parents, Chris
and Carole for their unwavering support.
