LEICESTER, N.Y. -- The 2011 racing season will be even more special for racers in upstate NY as the Gasser Racing Series introduces a new class for the Modified Gassers. This new Mod Class will include altereds, roadsters, front engine dragsters and modified gassers up to and including 1972. The class was created to accommodate the many racers who continually asked to be included into the GRS, but whose cars just didn't quite fit the nostalgia-gasser class. Our only urging to those interested is to please remember, the Gasser Racing Series is all about having fun and running our gassers. No nonsense here, we're all about simply playing with the toys.

This new class offers a much more lenient set of rules from the Nostalgia Gas class, but of course, there are no electronics allowed. As with the Nostalgia Gas class, cars are paired by ET and run off a ladder, with payback all the way down to 8 places, depending on car count.

The Nostalgia Gasser Class will accept vehicles up to and including 1966. Drivers interested in participating in the Gasser Racing Series events should check out the GRS website at www.GasserRacingSeries.com.
