Hines is 19 - 4 against Smith in prior events.
They come off the line together but Smith pulls away quickly. Hines starts to make up ground but runs out of room.
Matt Smith's incremental margins: 60ft(0.030), 330 ft(0.044), 660ft(0.031), 1,000ft(0.016). MOV: 0.0026 seconds (approximately 9 inches).

Tonglet will have lane choice over Smith in the final round. If Tonglet wins he will be 34 points behind Hines. If he loses he will leave the race 54 points behind.
