Pro Stock Motorcycle Qualifying Notes, Final Session

MOHNTON, Pa. - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 26th annual Toyo Tires NHRA Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Connie Cohen Runs 7.542/141.34, Now #16; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Joe DeSantis Runs 8.208/117.86, Now #15; Best prior run: 7.464/184.35, Was #15

3:05 p.m. - Weather conditions: air temperature 78 degrees, relative humidity 38 percent, barometer 29.35 inches, adjusted altitude 2,465 feet, track temperature 99 degrees.

This was Cohen's first pass of the weekend. Both she and DeSantis made it down the track to take the bottom two spots in the order.

Left Lane: Wesley Wells Runs 7.125/189.18, Now #13; Best prior run: 7.065/189.50, Was #13
Right Lane: Neil Jacobs Runs 7.433/178.80, Now #14; Best prior run: 7.442/176.01, Was #14

Both riders went down the groove but stayed where they were in the order.

Left Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 7.069/192.60, Now #12; Best prior run: 7.002/188.33, Was #12
Right Lane: Matt Smith Runs 6.875/192.47, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.961/188.36, Was #10

Smith had a good run that moved him up eight spots in the order. Johnson will stay where he was.

Right Lane: Shawn Gann Runs 6.933/194.18, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.934/192.41, Was #9

Gann was 0.001 seconds quicker than his previous best ET.

Left Lane: Craig Treble Runs 6.883/193.52, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.952/189.23, Was #10
Right Lane: Jim Underdahl Runs 6.883/195.87, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.928/194.02, Was #8

Both riders had nice runs. Underdahl's ride was his career best ET and moved him up five spots in the order. Treble moved up six spots with his ride.

Left Lane: Hector Arana Runs 6.828/196.16, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.913/190.43, Was #8
Right Lane: Michael Phillips Runs 6.898/195.73, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.919/194.49, Was #9

Arana had his career best ET and speed with a really nice ride down the track. He moved up seven spots in the order and sits in the number one spot for now. Phillips moved up three spots with this pass.

Left Lane: Andrew Hines Runs 6.859/196.56, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.898/193.21, Was #7
Right Lane: Karen Stoffer Runs 7.013/190.97, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.912/190.51, Was #9

Hines had a nice run to move up four spots. Stoffer's speed was off so she'll stay where she was.

Left Lane: Eddie Krawiec Runs 6.872/196.13, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.855/195.85, Was #2
Right Lane: LE Tonglet Runs 7.001/191.76, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.907/191.62, Was #8

Krawiec got pushed out of the number one spot by Arana a few minutes prior to this run. Krawiec's run looked good but was not quick enough to move him up in the order. He'll stay in the number two spot, Tonglet will stay in the eighth position.
