BRAINERD, Minn. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 29th annual Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals:

Shields came into the race fourth in the points chase and with some of those higher in the points here and already out of competition Shields can make a good move. Shields with the starting line advantage and never trailed as he runs the quickest and fastest pass of the weekend for the win. Duane Shields' incremental times: 60ft-0.907 sec., 330ft-2.393, 660ft-3.516/224.28 mph, 1,000ft-4.464. Shields will get the bye into the final.

Demke is 1 - 0 against Austin in prior events. Demke qualified number one here and that is the fourth time this year he has qualified number one. Demke like Shields can make a good move in the points as he came into this event third in points. austin took a shot at the tree and lost turning on the red light. Demke with his quickest pass of the weekend for the easy win. Chris Demke's incremental times: 60ft-0.933 sec., 330ft-2.372, 660ft-3.503/219.44 mph, 1,000ft-4.474.

Thacker and Meyer have each won 1 times against the other in prior events. They leave together and then it is Thacker for the win by 0.0267 seconds (approximately 10 feet). Thacker with his quickest pass of the weekend for the win, but will give up lane choice to Demke in the semifinal. Meyer with his quickest pass of the weekend in a losing effort.
