MORRISON, Colo. - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 31st annual Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Right Lane: Rob Passey Runs 6.672/102.33, Now #13; No Prior Run

Weather conditions: air temperature 83 degrees, relative humidity 34 percent, barometer 24.37 inches, adjusted altitude 9,150 feet, track temperature 112 degrees.

Passey made it to about half track when the engine rpms went real high and then it pitched the blower.

Left Lane: Mike Strasburg No Time, Now #15; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Cory McClenathan Runs 5.283/137.01, Now #8; Best prior run: 4.103/272.17, Was #8

It appeared Strasburg rolled the beam, so he won't get a time. McClenathan is up in smoke early and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Steven Chrisman Runs 4.294/278.40, Now #13; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Bob Vandergriff Runs 9.030/85.41, Now #7; Best prior run: 4.027/302.62, Was #7

Vandergriff is up in smoke as soon as hits the throttle....Chrisman with a nice clean pass...Steven Chrisman's incremental times: 60ft-0.944 sec., 330ft-2.384, 660ft-3.426/243.85 mph.

Left Lane: Morgan Lucas Runs 4.653/164.25, Now #12; Best prior run: 4.177/288.58, Was #12
Right Lane: Terry Haddock Runs 4.356/270.81, Now #14; No Prior Run

Haddock dropped a cylinder right at the hit, but keep it hooked up to get in the show. Lucas started to lose traction around half track and then must of banged the blower because the chutes came out.

Left Lane: Terry McMillen Runs 4.327/230.49, Now #14; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Steve Torrence Runs 5.678/116.89, Now #11; Best prior run: 4.169/285.95, Was #11

Torrence starts to smoke the tires around the 330-foot mark and he clicks it off. McMillen starts dropping cylinders on the top end and starts moving around a little, but stays with it to get in the show.

Left Lane: Brandon Bernstein Runs 4.701/168.01, Now #6; Best prior run: 3.992/296.11, Was #6
Right Lane: Larry Dixon Runs 6.831/91.88, Now #5; Best prior run: 3.985/297.61, Was #5

Dixon smokes the tires right off the starting line and clicks it off. Bernstein makes it to about 330 feet before he started to smoke the tires.

Left Lane: Tony Schumacher Runs 4.762/162.70, Now #10; Best prior run: 4.115/287.90, Was #10
Right Lane: Shawn Langdon Runs 6.645/99.14, Now #4; Best prior run: 3.982/304.94, Was #4

Langdon was up in smoke right off the starting line and then Schumacher smoked the tires.

Left Lane: Rod Fuller Runs 4.878/152.49, Now #9; Best prior run: 4.113/280.66, Was #9
Right Lane: David Grubnic Runs 4.700/160.92, Now #3; Best prior run: 3.970/304.67, Was #3

Both cars start to lose traction around 400 feet and click it off.

Right Lane: Doug Kalitta Runs 4.698/163.43, Now #2; Best prior run: 3.962/308.21, Was #2

Like the the previous pair they are up in smoke around 400 feet....
