MORRISON, Colo. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Funny Car at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 31st annual Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Jack Wyatt Runs 5.397/147.12, Now #9; No Prior Run

8:00 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 84 degrees, relative humidity 34 percent, barometer 24.17 inches, adjusted altitude 9,475 feet, track temperature 84 degrees.

Wyatt was wiggling around and he was off the throttle at about 500 feet.

Left Lane: Del Worsham Runs 4.191/294.75, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.455/101.32, Was #13
Right Lane: Cruz Pedregon Runs 7.672/92.65, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.975/99.39, Was #14

Pedregon was up in smoke at about 200 feet. A very good looking pass for Worsham and he moves to the top of the ladder for now.

Del Worsham's incremental times: 60ft-0.921 sec., 330ft-2.384, 660ft-3.373/257.68 mph.

Left Lane: Bob Tasca III Runs 4.240/293.86, Now #2; Best prior run: 5.774/122.86, Was #12
Right Lane: Matt Hagan Runs 4.242/285.59, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.445/102.72, Was #13

A good looking pair, although they weren't side-by-side going down the track. Hagan took almost 2 seconds to leave after the tree went green.

Bob Tasca III's incremental times: 60ft-0.941 sec., 330ft-2.408, 660ft-3.416/255.68 mph.
Matt Hagan's incremental times: 60ft-0.930 sec., 330ft-2.373, 660ft-3.400/250.60 mph.

Right Lane: Tim Wilkerson Runs 4.386/234.49, Now #5; Best prior run: 4.783/177.60, Was #8

Wilkerson was off the throttle at about 850 feet. A trouble-free pass for Beckman.

Jack Beckman's incremental times: 60ft-0.927 sec., 330ft-2.388, 660ft-3.413/250.18 mph.
Tim Wilkerson's incremental times: 60ft-0.940 sec., 330ft-2.421, 660ft-3.448/248.20 mph.

What an improvement this round is over the first round!

Robert Hight's incremental times: 60ft-0.916 sec., 330ft-2.379, 660ft-3.395/253.37 mph.

Left Lane: John Force Runs 4.191/296.76, Now #1; Best prior run: 4.401/280.95, Was #10
Right Lane: Tony Pedregon Runs 6.105/112.08, Now #11; Best prior run: 4.402/247.61, Was #11

Pedregon pedaled it once at about 250 feet and then his engine went silent. A very good looking pass for Force and he takes the top spot on the ladder by virtue of having run a faster speed than Worsham.

John Force's incremental times: 60ft-0.918 sec., 330ft-2.367, 660ft-3.370/256.11 mph.
