Passey started to lose
traction around 300 feet and clicked it off. Left Lane: Rod Fuller Runs 4.801/160.44, Now #2 Right Lane: Bob Vandergriff Runs 4.027/302.62, Now #1 Fuller was on a good pass until it started to smoke the tires around 800 feet. Left Lane: Terry McMillen Runs 4.219/260.66, Now #3 Right Lane: Steve Torrence Runs 4.169/285.95, Now #2 Torrence got out there about half track and made a quick pedal job and got it to stick to go to the number two spot. McClenathan was on a good pass until around about 800 feet when it started mixing up cylinders and then just past the finish line the engine let go with a big fireball.
