MORRISON, Colo. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Funny Car at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 31st annual Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Jeff Diehl Runs 5.349/148.20, Now #1

5:31 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 89 degrees, relative humidity 21 percent, barometer 24.16 inches, adjusted altitude 9,632 feet, track temperature 101 degrees.

Diehl struck the tires at about 400 feet.

Left Lane: Cruz Pedregon Runs 6.975/99.39, Now #3
Right Lane: Jeff Arend Runs 5.351/137.05, Now #2

Pedregon lost traction just before the 330-foot mark. Arend started fishtailing at half track and he lifted.

Left Lane: Tony Pedregon Runs 4.402/247.61, Now #1
Right Lane: Del Worsham Runs 6.455/101.32, Now #4

Worsham's engine went silent at about 250 feet. Pedregon was mixing up the cylinders at about 850 feet and he lifted.

Tony Pedregon's incremental times: 60ft-0.928 sec., 330ft-2.416, 660ft-3.475/238.93 mph.

Left Lane: Ashley Force Hood Runs 4.573/208.36, Now #2
Right Lane: Bob Tasca III Runs 5.774/122.86, Now #5

Both drivers hazed the tires - Tasca at the 330-foot mark and Force Hood at the 660-foot mark.

Left Lane: Tim Wilkerson Runs 4.783/177.60, Now #3
Right Lane: Ron Capps Runs 4.949/162.18, Now #4

Both drivers were off the throttle at 660 feet.

Left Lane: Matt Hagan Runs 6.445/102.72, Now #9
Right Lane: Jack Beckman Runs 5.708/123.94, Now #7

Both drivers struck the tires - Hagan at about 300 feet and Beckman at about 500 feet

Left Lane: Robert Hight Runs 4.533/209.14, Now #3
Right Lane: John Force Runs 4.401/280.95, Now #1

Hight started mixing up the cylinders just past the 660-foot mark. Force kept the candles lit all the way down the track.

Robert Hight's incremental times: 60ft-0.922 sec., 330ft-2.417, 660ft-3.475/234.21 mph.
John Force's incremental times: 60ft-0.918 sec., 330ft-2.425, 660ft-3.520/233.92 mph.
