By David Gerard

SONOMA, Calif. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 23rd annual FRAM-Autolite NHRA Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Right Lane: GT Tonglet Runs 7.097/183.74, Now #1

GT is back! This is a new Matt Smith bike too.

A good initial pass, but it won't last. Cook has a reasonable MPH, but not a world class ET.

Larry Cook's incremental times: 60ft-1.098 sec., 330ft-2.949, 660ft-4.546/151.58 mph, 1,000ft-5.970.

Sounded like Sullivan missed the 2-3 shift and the Zebra bike slows.

Camarena is making his first race of the season and will need some more power to stay in the field.

Freddie Camarena's incremental times: 60ft-1.128 sec., 330ft-2.989, 660ft-4.572/154.56 mph, 1,000ft-5.955.

Left Lane: Mike Berry Runs 7.127/183.89, Now #2
Right Lane: Jim Underdahl Runs 7.138/188.31, Now #3

This would have been close in the lights, but Underdahl was red by -0.290.

Mike Berry's incremental times: 60ft-1.102 sec., 330ft-2.946, 660ft-4.521/154.46 mph, 1,000ft-5.914.
