KENT, Wash. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 23rd annual NHRA Northwest Nationals:

Weather conditions: air temperature 72 degrees, relative humidity 65 percent, barometer 29.64 inches, adjusted altitude 1,901 feet, track temperature 88 degrees.

Gordon is 1 - 0 against Evanchuk in prior events. Gordon has been the number one qualifier twice, both this year. Bill Moore is Crew Chief for both Evanchuk in TAFC and Cowie in TAD.

Evanchuk gets a small advantage off the line, but not for long. Gordon drives on by before the 60 foot lights and pills steadily ahead for the win. Evanchuk improves on his qualifying times, but to no avail.

This is the first time Hough and Webster have faced each other in eliminations and its a great race. Hough gets away first and leads Webster until near the 330 lights. Webster has the better tune up and drives on by to take a major win.

The chutes are late on Webster's car and he just makes the last turn out.

Gasparrelli is making his 240th round of eliminations and won here in 2003. He also has three runner-ups here in the past.

Bye Run for Gasparrelli and its a good thing, as the Mustang drives out of the groove and he has to lift.

Webster will have lane choice in the next round.

O'Bannon is 1 - 0 against Lombardo Jr. in prior events. O'Bannon ran low TAFC ET of the race in round one and he does so again.

He gets away first by just a little and slowly pulls steadily ahead all the way to the finish line. Lombardo was right there, but was no match.

O'Bannon has lane choice over Gordon in the next round.
