launches and has the engine go sour. He lifts and clicks it off early. Diehl has comparable numbers to the 330 lights and then has the slicks start to spin shortly after that. Jeff Diehl's incremental times: 60ft-0.913 sec., 330ft-2.397, 660ft-3.664/171.45 mph. Gary Densham's incremental times: 60ft-0.916 sec., 330ft-2.401, 660ft-3.436/248.02 mph. Left Lane: Brian Thiel Runs 4.516/267.27, Now #15; No Prior Run Right Lane: Matt Hagan Runs 4.258/264.60, Now #4; No Prior Run Team Diehard corrected me on the reported engine damage from last night. They spun the tires, but with no significant damage. This session only, the body has been replaced by a Special Edition MoPar wrap that will have its official debut at the Mile High Nationals at Denver in two weeks. Great tune up for the conditions and the Charger makes a terrific looking pass to move well into the field into the current #4 position. Thiel runs another season best pass and sets the bump spot for the session, moving into the #14 spot. Brian Thiel's incremental times: 60ft-0.981 sec., 330ft-2.508, 660ft-3.607/230.84 mph. Matt Hagan's incremental times: 60ft-0.908 sec., 330ft-2.340, 660ft-3.369/245.85 mph. Left Lane: Cruz Pedregon Runs 4.807/159.64, Now #14; Best prior run: 4.341/226.39, Was #14 Right Lane: Paul Lee Runs 5.106/133.61, Now #11; Best prior run: 4.321/277.66, Was #11 The two FC's leave almost together and run together until before the 660 lights. They both go up in smoke and lift. Pedregon's incrementals were better than Hagan's until the smoke started. Cruz Pedregon's incremental times: 60ft-0.882 sec., 330ft-2.297, 660ft-3.453/188.89 mph. Paul Lee's incremental times: 60ft-0.915 sec., 330ft-2.385, 660ft-3.607/178.80 mph. Left Lane: Tony Pedregon Runs 6.622/98.70, Now #13; Best prior run: 4.331/254.90, Was #13 Right Lane: Del Worsham Runs 4.202/293.54, Now #2; Best prior run: 4.315/282.72, Was #10 Both cars are on the wrong end of the ladder from where they would normally expect to be. Worsham finds the tune up and Pedregon doesn't. A good leave and strong incrementals down the track move the Solara up the ladder to the #2 spot. Pedregon's slicks are smoking near the 330 lights and he clicks it off. Del Worsham's incremental times: 60ft-0.917 sec., 330ft-2.367, 660ft-3.376/255.10 mph. Left Lane: Ron Capps Runs 4.222/286.38, Now #3; Best prior run: 4.321/277.32, Was #12 Right Lane: Tim Wilkerson Runs 4.663/184.09, Now #10; Best prior run: 4.277/287.23, Was #9 The NAPA car cards the best short times, so far, and makes a strong pass down the track and into the new #3 position. Nice! Wilkerson car got off the line OK and was pulling hard until near the 660 light and then drove into tire smoke. Ron Capps' incremental times: 60ft-0.906 sec., 330ft-2.346, 660ft-3.373/246.93 mph. Tim Wilkerson's incremental times: 60ft-0.923 sec., 330ft-2.383, 660ft-3.474/209.72 mph. Left Lane: Jack Beckman Runs 4.708/178.54, Now #8; Best prior run: 4.275/284.03, Was #8 Right Lane: Jeff Arend Runs 6.838/89.88, Now #9; Best prior run: 4.276/284.39, Was #9 No joy here, as both cars fall to tire smoke. Arend is first near the 330 lights and the Beckman before the 660 lights. Jack Beckman's incremental times: 60ft-0.899 sec., 330ft-2.358, 660ft-3.480/205.51 mph. Force get to the finish line under power, but can't improve and will stay #7. Once again, the left lane gives better numbers to near the 660 lights and then spoils the pass with tire smoke. Tasca will stay #5. Bob Tasca III's incremental times: 60ft-0.899 sec., 330ft-2.346, 660ft-3.450/208.33 mph. John Force's incremental times: 60ft-0.912 sec., 330ft-2.383, 660ft-3.425/243.37 mph. Left Lane: Robert Hight Runs 4.199/289.88, Now #1; Best prior run: 4.194/291.57, Was #1 Right Lane: Ashley Force Hood Runs 6.364/101.48, Now #4; Best prior run: 4.225/287.23, Was #4 Two more Ford to wrap up the session. The right lane steals a good pass this time, as Force Hood can't get past the 330 lights under power. Hight shows why he is number one and makes another terrific pass to almost match yesterday's best. Robert Hight's incremental times: 60ft-0.901 sec., 330ft-2.346, 660ft-3.363/252.19 mph. Ashley Force Hood's incremental times: 60ft-0.906 sec., 330ft-2.472, 660ft-4.279/120.19 mph. 1:46 p.m. Jeff Diehl is on the bump spot at 5.120.
