KENT, Wash. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 23rd annual NHRA Northwest Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Jim Cunningham Runs 6.820/205.29, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.775/205.19, Was #15

Cunningham will slow from his earlier time today.

Left Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 6.697/206.57, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.753/206.32, Was #14
Right Lane: Kurt Johnson Runs 6.679/208.04, Now #9; Best prior run: 14.436/58.56, Was #17

Weather conditions: air temperature 92 degrees, relative humidity 29 percent, barometer 29.59 inches, adjusted altitude 3,105 feet, track temperature 127 degrees.

Johnson gets it down the track this time and into the field. Kurt Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-1.023 sec., 330ft-2.815, 660ft-4.308/164.87 mph, 1,000ft-5.594. Morgan improved on this run, but will stay in the number 14 spot. Larry Morgan's incremental times: 60ft-1.009 sec., 330ft-2.814, 660ft-4.309/163.97 mph, 1,000ft-5.604.

Left Lane: V. Gaines Runs 10.615/92.80, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.716/206.89, Was #15
Right Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.723/206.26, Now #16; Best prior run: 6.779/205.16, Was #17

Gaines with problems as soon as he let the clutch out and pushed right back in. Enders improves and moves up one spot, not enough to get into the show.

Left Lane: Bob Yonke Runs 18.757/32.73, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.695/206.57, Was #13
Right Lane: Johnny Gray Runs 6.655/208.59, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.690/208.30, Was #12

Yonke with problems as soon as he let the clutch out. Gray with a great looking pass to go to the top of the field. Johnny Gray's incremental times: 60ft-1.004 sec., 330ft-2.805, 660ft-4.290/165.33 mph, 1,000ft-5.573.

Left Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 12.652/68.30, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.685/208.78, Was #12
Right Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 14.899/30.57, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.679/206.67, Was #11

Both cars push the clutches in early and cost on through the 1320.

Right Lane: Rodger Brogdon Runs 6.695/206.80, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.678/207.34, Was #9

Brogdon will not improve, but gets down the track...Krisher with a real nice pass, straight down the groove into the number one spot. Ron Krisher's incremental times: 60ft-1.002 sec., 330ft-2.812, 660ft-4.284/165.66 mph, 1,000ft-5.566.

Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-1.015 sec., 330ft-2.805, 660ft-4.292/165.62 mph, 1,000ft-5.574.

Right Lane: Warren Johnson Runs 6.663/207.98, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.671/207.98, Was #8

Johnson improves and gets into the top half of the field...Warren Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-1.006 sec., 330ft-2.801, 660ft-4.292/164.83 mph, 1,000ft-5.579. Edwards launched hard and keep it hooked up to go to the number one spot with a great looking pass. Mike Edwards' incremental times: 60ft-0.998 sec., 330ft-2.799, 660ft-4.271/165.52 mph, 1,000ft-5.552.

Right Lane: Allen Johnson Runs 6.618/209.52, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.667/208.75, Was #8

This was a great side-by-side drag race to wrap up day one of qualifying. Line goes back to the number one spot and Johnson is right behind him. Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.992 sec., 330ft-2.787, 660ft-4.255/165.94 mph, 1,000ft-5.533.
Allen Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.999 sec., 330ft-2.777, 660ft-4.261/166.09 mph, 1,000ft-5.541.
