BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Special awards from the 10th annual NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals.

K&N Filters Horsepower Challenge award ($3,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Pro Stock) - Allen Johnson, Greeneville, Tenn., Team Mopar/J&J Racing Dodge Avenger, 6.722 seconds, 205.10 mph.

Best Engineered Vehicle - Mr2Performance Dodge Challenger Stock Eliminator entry. Driver: Eric Merryfield, Andover, Mass.

NHRA Best Appearing Car - J&J Racing Dodge Challenger Stock Eliminator entry. Driver: Roy Johnson, Greeneville, Tenn.

NHRA Best Appearing Crew - Trussell Construction '68 Camaro Pro Mod team. Driver: Ed Hoover, Columbia, S.C.

Full Throttle Hard-Working Crew Award ($3,000 each to Top Fuel and Funny Car, $1,500 to Pro Stock and $750 to Pro Stock Motorcycle for the crews that are recognized as the hardest working of the event):
Top Fuel: Tony Schumacher's U.S. Army crew for a flawless performance on their way to their 100th final round appearance (Passed Joe Amato for all-time final round appearances in Top Fuel).
Funny Car: Tim Wilkerson's Levi, Ray & Shoup crew for making their second final round of the season after struggling since their first win of the season in Gainesville
Pro Stock: Rickie Jones' crew for working hard to get to the final round after losing an engine in the semifinals.
