ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 41st annual NHRA SuperNationals:

7:40 p.m. - Weather conditions: air temperature 85 degrees, relative humidity 51 percent, barometer 29.84 inches, adjusted altitude 2,578 feet, track temperature 106 degrees.

Manzo took his care straight down the groove. This win is Manzo's 506th win and ties him with Pat Austin for the TAFC record.

Headley went red, so Ferro got the win and will move on to the next round.

This is the first time two women have raced each other in TAFC at a national event. Green-King's qualifying time and speed were career bests. Green-King got off the starting line first and led the race at 60 feet. After that, De Joria passed her by and went on for the win.

Veney got married last night in Manhattan. He celebrated with a nice run that was his career best ET. Morris got out to about 60 feet and clicked it off.

Dobbs was quicker out of the gate and led the race at 60 feet. Anderika passed him before they reached the 330 foot marker, then pulled away for the win. Anderika will race Veney in the next round and Veney will have lane choice.

Tigges ran his career best ET to take the win from Carter, who ran his season best ET. He'll face Manzo in the next round with Manzo having lane choice.

Lourie did not make a burnout and took an easy trip down the quarter mile to recognize the death of his scheduled opponent, Neal Parker. Parker died yesterday during the first qualifying session when his car went off the end of the track. Lourie will race De Joria in the next round.
