Pro Stock Motorcycle Qualifying Notes, Final Session

ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 41st annual NHRA SuperNationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Thomas Miceli Runs 7.227/180.94, Now #16; Best prior run: 7.212/169.72, Was #16
Right Lane: Jack Baldwin No Time, Now #19; No Prior Run

3:18 p.m. - Weather conditions: air temperature 85 degrees, relative humidity 49 percent, barometer 29.95 inches, adjusted altitude 2,439 feet, track temperature 114 degrees.

Miceli was on the bump before he made this this run and he was on the bump after. Baldwin did not make an attempt.


Left Lane: Redell Harris Runs 7.134/184.45, Now #14; Best prior run: 7.176/182.06, Was #15
Right Lane: Mike Berry Runs 7.440/178.14, Now #18; Best prior run: 7.342/178.73, Was #18

Harris moved up one spot in the order, Berry will not make the field.

Left Lane: David Hope Runs 7.004/186.69, Now #13; Best prior run: 7.028/183.69, Was #13
Right Lane: Wesley Wells Runs 7.209/183.62, Now #15; Best prior run: 7.146/183.44, Was #15

Hope was quicker than in the third session but it did not improve his spot in the order. Wells will stay where he is as well. Thomas Miceli is on the bump spot at 7.212.

Left Lane: Jim Underdahl Runs 7.042/187.55, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.981/190.78, Was #10
Right Lane: Angie Smith Runs 7.029/186.85, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.998/182.75, Was #12

Neither rider changed the spot in the order.

Left Lane: Shawn Gann No Time, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.968/191.51, Was #8
Right Lane: Eddie Krawiec Runs 6.962/190.75, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.988/193.07, Was #11

Gann was in the water box, then backed out without making a run. Krawiec had a nice ride and moved up three spots.

Left Lane: Matt Smith Runs 6.951/190.92, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.901/192.60, Was #4
Right Lane: Craig Treble Runs 7.048/188.81, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.979/192.19, Was #10

Two good runs, neither rider moved up in the order.

Right Lane: LE Tonglet Runs 7.050/187.94, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.912/191.62, Was #7

Tonglet will finish where he is in the qualifying order.

Left Lane: Hector Arana Runs 7.076/188.23, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.869/194.83, Was #2
Right Lane: Andrew Hines Runs 7.026/188.57, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.907/192.66, Was #6

Two good rides with no change in the order.

Left Lane: Michael Phillips Runs 6.956/193.74, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.855/197.16, Was #1
Right Lane: Karen Stoffer Runs 7.105/182.82, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.901/191.70, Was #5

Both riders made clean runs but they were not quick enough to change their spots in the order. Phillips is the number one qualifier for the first time in his pro Stock Motorcycle career.
