ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Competition Eliminator at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 41st annual NHRA SuperNationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, amount over/under index, and position in order following run, class and class index:
Left Lane: Tom Ekroth Runs 7.523/180.12/-0.447, Now #1 C/A Index: 7.97
Right Lane: Todd Fontana Runs 8.075/118.79/1.025, Now #2 A/PM Index: 7.05



Left Lane: Ed Alessi Jr. Runs 8.569/155.94/-0.401, Now #2 D/SMA Index: 8.97
Right Lane: Lee Zane No Time, Now #4 L/AA Index: 9.55

Zane was shut off as he was leaking something on the starting line.

Weather conditions: air temperature 84 degrees, relative humidity 51 percent, barometer 29.73 inches, adjusted altitude 2,608 feet, track temperature 113 degrees.



Left Lane: John Caliendo Jr No Time, Now #6 D/AA Index: 8.20

Costa with problems early and shut off. Caliendo with problems in the burnout box and shuts off.

Left Lane: Walt Conway Runs 11.356/66.31/3.826, Now #6 B/ND Index: 7.53
Right Lane: David Allen Runs 6.857/202.52/-0.583, Now #1 BB/AM Index: 7.44

Conway with problems early and clicked it off. Allen with a nice clean pass. David Allen's incremental times: 60ft-1.067 sec., 330ft-2.911, 660ft-4.432/163.81 mph, 1,000ft-5.744.

Boyd with tire shake and wheelstand on the launch...Eckel III with a nice pass.

Stanfield with a nice pass...Hughes is out of the groove early but stays with it.

Hill was late leaving the starting line and then had problems and clicked it off early.

This was a good drag race as Rampy goes to the number two spot and Biondo goes to the number four spot. David Rampy's incremental times: 60ft-1.021 sec., 330ft-2.924, 660ft-4.564/148.62 mph, 1,000ft-5.993.
Sal Biondo's incremental times: 60ft-1.117 sec., 330ft-3.313, 660ft-5.185/130.90 mph, 1,000ft-6.808.

Right Lane: Justin Lamb Runs 8.535/154.28/-0.555, Now #8 G/SMA Index: 9.09
