Pro Stock Motorcycle Qualifying Notes, Final Session

JOLIET, Ill. - Notes from final, round 3 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 13th annual United Association Route 66 NHRA Nationals presented by Miller Welders listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Right Lane: Gary Moreno Runs 7.290/177.49, Now #18; Best prior run: 7.425/175.89, Was #18

4:08 p.m. Redell Harris is on the bump spot at 7.166. Weather conditions: air temperature 82 degrees, relative humidity 62 percent, barometer 28.98 inches, adjusted altitude 3,473 feet, track temperature 106 degrees.

Moreno made his best run of the day, missed the field.


Left Lane: Redell Harris Runs 7.185/183.77, Now #16; Best prior run: 7.166/183.62, Was #16
Right Lane: Wesley Wells Runs 7.103/189.63, Now #13; Best prior run: 7.132/186.33, Was #15

Wells improved slightly, moved up a couple spots.

Right Lane: Karen Stoffer No Time, Now #15; Best prior run: 7.111/182.55, Was #15

Stoffer's bike once again went to the left, this time crossing the centerline.

Left Lane: Jim Underdahl Runs 7.130/183.84, Now #12; Best prior run: 7.084/189.47, Was #12
Right Lane: Michael Phillips Runs 7.000/192.25, Now #9; Best prior run: 7.011/192.66, Was #10

No help for Underdahl, small improvement for Phillips, enough to move him up one spot.

Left Lane: Matt Smith Runs 7.052/185.33, Now #11; Best prior run: 7.027/189.66, Was #11
Right Lane: Andrew Hines Runs 6.980/189.20, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.006/186.54, Was #10

This has not been a good weekend so far for Smith, unable to improve over his Friday night run. Hines finally got into the sixes, moved to the top half of the field.

Left Lane: Eddie Krawiec Runs 7.020/188.33, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.999/187.86, Was #9
Right Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 6.978/192.28, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.998/190.75, Was #8

Very nice run by Johnson to move up a couple sots.

Left Lane: David Hope Runs 7.037/183.15, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.971/188.31, Was #5
Right Lane: Angie Smith Runs 7.001/186.92, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.982/185.84, Was #8

Smith did not improve, nor did Hope.

Left Lane: LE Tonglet Runs 6.983/189.47, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.971/189.55, Was #4

Tonglet did not improve, but made two good runs today.

Left Lane: Craig Treble Runs 6.983/187.23, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.932/188.96, Was #1
Right Lane: Hector Arana Runs 6.950/191.00, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.948/192.30, Was #2

Treble made his third good run of the weekend, so did Arana, and Arana was the quicker of the two for this session.
