JOLIET, Ill. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Super Gas Allstars at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 26th annual NHRA Jeg's Allstars:

Tatum is in his fifth Allstars, from Division 2, and he won the event in '91. Rose in in his first Allstars, from Division 5, and was runner-up at the Brainerd divisional.

Torres is in his second Allstars, from Division 7, and has finished fourth in Lucas Oil points for the past two years. Connolly, Division 3, is the '09 Lucas Oil champion and the Division 3 Champion.

Torres had the better light and a 0.023 package for the win.

Kenny, Division 1, is in his first Allstars and got here with three divisional wins. Nelson, Division 4, was the '08 Summit ET Champion.

Jason Kenny wins on a breakout after Nelson posted a perfect light, took too much stripe. Kenny faces Torres in the semifinals.
