Top Sportsman Allstars Round 1 Eliminations

JOLIET, Ill. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Top Sportsman Allstars at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 26th annual NHRA Jeg's Allstars:

All are making their first Allstars start since this is the first year Top Sportsman has been part of the event. Vettel is the Division 5 champion and Daniluk, from Division 6, won the Boise divisional.

Vettel had the better light and held on to take the win for Division 5. Joshua Vettel's MOV: 0.0065 seconds (approximately 23 inches).

Silvia won the drawing to appear as the Blocker (since there was no '09 winner). Thigpen represents Division 2 and won the Atlanta divisional.

Silvia went way red. Thigpen gets a point for Division 2 and will race Vettel in the semifinals.

Forkner represents Division 7 and is the Division Champion. Adkins represents Division 3 and is driving Mike Coughlin's Cobalt.

Forkner slowed and Adkins won easily.
