JOLIET, Ill. - Notes from final, round 2 qualifying in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 13th annual United Association Route 66 NHRA Nationals presented by Miller Welders listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Fred Hagen Jr. Runs 5.672/252.43, Now #4; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Jason McKnight Runs 5.724/251.16, Now #7; No Prior Run

Weather conditions: air temperature 74 degrees, relative humidity 83 percent, barometer 29.05 inches, adjusted altitude 2,895 feet, track temperature 81 degrees.

Hagen Jr. with good clean pass and will move into the top half of the spot. Fred Hagen Jr.'s incremental times: 60ft-0.957 sec., 330ft-2.511, 660ft-3.735/202.64 mph, 1,000ft-4.781. McKnight launched hard and keep it hooked up to get into the top half of the show. Jason McKnight's incremental times: 60ft-1.006 sec., 330ft-2.554, 660ft-3.780/201.07 mph, 1,000ft-4.830.

Left Lane: Vern Moats Runs 6.040/249.72, Now #18; Best prior run: 15.562/51.96, Was #21
Right Lane: Brent Henry Runs 5.693/252.10, Now #5; No Prior Run

Moats was skating around and he will not get into the show. This is only the 17th time in 252 National events that Moats has not qualified. Henry with a great looking pass to get into the top half of the show. Brent Henry's incremental times: 60ft-0.971 sec., 330ft-2.545, 660ft-3.765/203.46 mph, 1,000ft-4.807.

Left Lane: Rick Cortino Runs 6.485/210.21, Now #21; Best prior run: 6.560/192.44, Was #21
Right Lane: Tony Bartone Runs 16.824/31.34, Now #23; No Prior Run

Cortino will improve, but will not get into the show. Bartone banged the burst panel and the chutes automatically deployed and Bartone will not qualify for only the second time in 123 Top Alcohol Funny Car National events, the only other time was Houston of last year.

Right Lane: Alexis De Joria Runs 5.751/249.86, Now #9; Best prior run: 22.684/57.53, Was #24

Butler with a lot of shake as oon as he hits the throttle and he pedals it and is back into tire shake before he clicks it off. DeJoria with a lot of tire shake as soon as she lets the clutch out and she pedals it. She is out of the grrove and doe a great job reeling it back in the groove and into the show. Alexis De Joria's incremental times: 60ft-0.987 sec., 330ft-2.608, 660ft-3.829/204.11 mph, 1,000ft-4.864.

Right Lane: Ray Drew Runs 6.138/248.39, Now #22; Best prior run: 8.459/108.86, Was #23

Drew with the front wheels out in the air non the launch and gets out of the groove around 100 feet and he will not get into the show. Bojec improves and will move up the ladder one spot. John Bojec's incremental times: 60ft-1.010 sec., 330ft-2.588, 660ft-3.825/200.00 mph, 1,000ft-4.879.

Right Lane: Kevin Newburgh No Time, Now #20; Best prior run: 6.059/232.55, Was #20

Payne and Newburgh do their burnouts and then it started to sprinkle.
