Plan E
By Larry Sullivan

JOLIET, Ill. - Noon - Time for Plan E!

The weather radar looks very favorable for the next several hours.

The latest plan is to run the second Pro qualifying session as soon as the track is dry, then the first round of the Allstars.

The current estimate is "about 12:30 p.m." for the start of the Pro session.

The unfinished round of TAFC qualifying - six cars - will probably follow Allstars round one.

Then the final qualifying session for Professional categories will set their fields for Sunday.

The Allstars semifinals and finals will then wrap up the day.

Again, Mother Nature willing and all that.

If track drying proceeds according to plan, we should be racing again in about 30 to 45 minutes.
