4:04 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 78 degrees, relative humidity 26 percent, barometer 28.88 inches, adjusted altitude 2,833 feet, track temperature 94 degrees.

Fitzpatrick throws away his #1 qualifier advantage with a -0.053 red light. He lifts and coasts on down.

Hogan looked to be on a free pass to round two, when the car made an abrupt move after mid-track and rolls several times, taking out the finish line lights, and stopping on the track in his lane after the finish line. The Safety Safari is quickly on the car and reports that Hogan is awake and responding well. They are keeping him in the car until they can stabilize him and ensure that he hasn't any severe injuries.

Fitzpatrick will get to race tomorrow.

Adams had a good start and ran well for a while. I didn't see anything wrong, but he lifted early.
