POMONA, Calif. - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 50th annual Kragen O'Reilly NHRA Winternationals presented by Valvoline listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Ronnie Humphrey Runs 6.629/209.17, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.644/209.26, Was #12
Right Lane: Danny Gruninger Runs 11.981/73.52, Now #13; No Prior Run

Weather conditions: air temperature 74 degrees, relative humidity 37 percent, barometer 28.93 inches, adjusted altitude 2,604 feet, track temperature 94 degrees.

Gruninger shook and shut off...Humphrey with his quickest pass of the weekend to move up the ladder. Ronnie Humphrey's incremental times: 60ft-0.989 sec., 330ft-2.778, 660ft-4.266/165.54 mph, 1,000ft-5.549.


Left Lane: Rickie Jones Runs 14.638/59.79, Now #15; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Johnny Gray Runs 6.672/208.01, Now #13; No Prior Run

Jones continues to struggle...Gray with his quickest pass of the weekend and he is in the show now. Johnny Gray's incremental times: 60ft-1.006 sec., 330ft-2.805, 660ft-4.302/164.63 mph, 1,000ft-5.589.

Left Lane: Bob Yonke Runs 7.502/173.16, Now #15; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Justin Humphreys Runs 6.650/208.49, Now #13; No Prior Run

Yonke shook hard as soon as he let the clutch out. Humphreys with with his quickest pass of the weekend. Justin Humphreys' incremental times: 60ft-0.997 sec., 330ft-2.792, 660ft-4.285/165.52 mph, 1,000ft-5.569.

Left Lane: Warren Johnson Runs 6.820/207.34, Now #16; No Prior Run
Right Lane: V. Gaines Runs 6.661/207.69, Now #14; No Prior Run

Warren slows from earlier this weekend, but gets down the track and into the show for now. Warren Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-1.011 sec., 330ft-2.913, 660ft-4.437/162.80 mph, 1,000ft-5.733. Gaines isn't as quick as Thursday, but he gets into the show. V. Gaines' incremental times: 60ft-0.992 sec., 330ft-2.787, 660ft-4.285/164.43 mph, 1,000ft-5.575.

Right Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 6.645/207.78, Now #13; No Prior Run

Nobile shook hard and clicked it off. Morgan with his quickest pass of the weekend and he gets in the show. Larry Morgan's incremental times: 60ft-0.984 sec., 330ft-2.777, 660ft-4.271/165.01 mph, 1,000ft-5.560.

Left Lane: Kurt Johnson Runs 6.637/208.78, Now #11; No Prior Run

Johnson with his quickest pass of the weekend and he gets into the show. Kurt Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.993 sec., 330ft-2.783, 660ft-4.274/165.23 mph, 1,000ft-5.556. Gray with another good pass, but slows from his time on Thursday and gets bumped back one spot. Shane Gray's incremental times: 60ft-0.993 sec., 330ft-2.784, 660ft-4.276/164.95 mph, 1,000ft-5.562.

Left Lane: Vinnie Deceglie Runs 6.713/198.41, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.613/209.23, Was #6
Right Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.632/209.62, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.640/209.79, Was #12

DeCeglie slows from his time from Thursday, but stays in the number six spot. Vinnie Deceglie's incremental times: 60ft-0.990 sec., 330ft-2.797, 660ft-4.303/163.73 mph, 1,000ft-5.605. Line with his quickest pass of the weekend...Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.996 sec., 330ft-2.791, 660ft-4.277/165.90 mph, 1,000ft-5.555.

Right Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.605/209.23, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.591/209.59, Was #2

Spiess shook hard and clicked it off. Coughlin with a great looking pass straight down the groove with the quickest pass of the session...Jeg Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.987 sec., 330ft-2.772, 660ft-4.255/166.31 mph, 1,000ft-5.530.
