By David Gerard

POMONA, Calif. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Competition Eliminator at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 45th annual Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals:

7:26 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 64 degrees, relative humidity 47 percent, barometer 28.90 inches, adjusted altitude 1,949 feet, track temperature 64 degrees.

It's Saturday night. It's dark. It's late. It's cold. So, it's time to run Competition Eliminator.

Lots of CIC's in the first round earlier today and this may be another set of hits. Marty Ladwig has a 0.14 CIC penalty; Alan Ellis has no CIC penalty.

With two of the higher HP altereds in these conditions, this might get interesting. One a traditional Ford roadster and the other a late model Cobalt.

Ladwig's attempt to do a burnout doesn't bode well for his chances. Looks like he knew he was in trouble and red lights. Ellis is paying attention and takes it easy.

Upset win,as Moscini can run the number after a terrible light by McClay.

McClay vs. Ellis in round three.
