Bernstein similar to
yesterday started to lift the front end and then was up in smoke. Kalitta with a nice pass
straight down the groove into the top half of the show. Doug Kalitta's incremental times:

Left Lane: Chris Karamesines Runs 4.029/299.46, Now #13; No Prior Run Right Lane: David Grubnic Runs 5.552/120.08, Now #15; No Prior Run Karamesines with his career best pass at 1000 feet. Chris Karamesines' incremental times: 60ft-0.871 sec., 330ft-2.243, 660ft-3.220/260.51 mph. Grubnic with a whisp of tire smoke at 330 feet and clicks it off. Left Lane: Dom Lagana Runs 4.029/298.87, Now #11; Best prior run: 3.981/303.03, Was #10 Right Lane: Tony Schumacher Runs 3.931/280.78, Now #6; Best prior run: 4.047/223.62, Was #14 Schumacher gets it down the track today and moves into the top half of the show. Tony Schumacher's incremental times: 60ft-0.857 sec., 330ft-2.162, 660ft-3.098/267.32 mph. Lagana with another good looking pass, but doesn't improve. Left Lane: Joe Hartley Runs 4.079/295.46, Now #9; Best prior run: 3.972/306.67, Was #9 Right Lane: Clay Millican Runs 5.499/123.38, Now #13; Best prior run: 4.011/302.89, Was #13 Hartley has a cylinder or two out right at the hit, but stays with it. Millican was off the throttle by half track. Left Lane: Spencer Massey Runs 3.916/293.54, Now #5; Best prior run: 3.920/304.05, Was #5 Haddock was schedule to be in the other lane, but sits out this session. Massey with the quickest pass of the round and he is quicker than yesterday, but will stay in the number five spot. Spencer Massey's incremental times: 60ft-0.850 sec., 330ft-2.173, 660ft-3.105/269.40 mph. Left Lane: Cory McClenathan Runs 3.916/274.94, Now #4; Best prior run: 3.903/312.21, Was #4 Right Lane: Doug Foley Runs 6.151/102.59, Now #10; Best prior run: 3.972/305.01, Was #10 Foley launched hard and then started to have problems around 250 feet and clicked it off. McClenathan was a real good pass until right before the finish line when it appears the engine started eating itself up. He still ties Massey for the quickest pass of the round. Left Lane: Antron Brown Runs 3.854/315.71, Now #1; Best prior run: 3.895/313.07, Was #3 Right Lane: Shawn Langdon Runs 3.947/295.08, Now #7; Best prior run: 3.933/310.84, Was #7 Langdon with another good pass, but doesn't improve on his time from yesterday. Shawn Langdon's incremental times: 60ft-0.866 sec., 330ft-2.209, 660ft-3.140/271.57 mph. Brown with a great looking pass, the quickest and fastest of the weekend to move to the number one spot. Antron Brown's incremental times: 60ft-0.849 sec., 330ft-2.166, 660ft-3.084/274.83 mph. Left Lane: Larry Dixon Runs 3.891/303.23, Now #3; Best prior run: 3.889/310.20, Was #3 Right Lane: Morgan Lucas Runs 3.868/302.35, Now #2; Best prior run: 3.867/307.37, Was #2 A great drag race to wrap up the first round of qualifying today...Lucas with another great pass, just a tick slower than yesterday. Morgan Lucas' incremental times: 60ft-0.853 sec., 330ft-2.164, 660ft-3.080/275.34 mph. Dixon also with another good looking pass, he too just a tick slower than yesterday.
