BRAINERD, Minn. - Sportsman eliminations at the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals were tentatively scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. An all-night rainstorm made that impossible. The rain had stopped falling at approximately 8:00 a.m., but another band of the wet stuff moved through the area about an hour later. The rain has since ceased, and track drying is currently underway. There are no official estimates as to when eliminations will start today, but with a little cooperation from the skies above, racing should only be a couple hours away.
