Ron Capps' incremental times: 60ft-0.904 sec., 330ft-2.329, 660ft-3.299/265.33 mph. Left Lane: Bob Tasca III Runs 4.205/289.32, Now #11; No Prior Run Right Lane: Jim Head Runs 4.142/300.66, Now #7; Best prior run: 4.189/295.46, Was #10 Weather conditions: air temperature 77 degrees, relative humidity 26 percent, barometer 29.43 inches, adjusted altitude 2,156 feet, track temperature 103 degrees. Head got out of the
narrow groove, but stayed with it for a very good looking pass. He gets into the top half of the

Tasca's car makes a move toward the centerline and when it got out of the groove the car started
spinning the tires and mixing up cylinders. Left Lane: Mike Neff Runs 4.143/300.26, Now #8; No Prior Run Right Lane: Andy Kelley Runs 4.401/219.29, Now #15; No Prior Run Neff with a real nice looking pass to get into the top half of the field. Mike Neff's incremental times: 60ft-0.897 sec., 330ft-2.333, 660ft-3.331/258.32 mph. Kelley was spinning the tires and then the engine started eating itself up, but he gets into the show for now. Left Lane: Del Worsham Runs 4.651/229.08, Now #16; No Prior Run Right Lane: Jeff Arend Runs 5.238/136.47, Now #11; Best prior run: 4.160/301.33, Was #11 Arend starts to lose traction and clicks it off because he is in the show. Worsham also started to lose traction, but he was not in the show so he pedaled it and was back up in smoke. He gets a number and is now on the bubble.
