Left Lane: Jim Cowan Runs 8.210/162.31/-0.580, Now #2; I/AA Index: 8.79, Prior Best: 8.200/158.19/-0.590, Was #1
Right Lane: John Edwards Runs 7.396/183.42/-0.594, Now #1; C/AA Index: 7.99, Prior Best: 7.439/182.30/-0.551, Was #3

5:30 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 88 degrees, relative humidity 11 percent, barometer 28.81 inches, adjusted altitude 3,559 feet, track temperature 119 degrees.

Cowan falls off a tiny bit and Edwards jumps on the opening. Edwards finds almost a nickel and takes the top spot.

Sigmon stepped off really early but Mettler get the full pull.

Carter makes his first hit and just misses pushing Edwards off the top spot. Both are .594 under but Edwards did it first.
