Weather conditions: air temperature 65 degrees, relative humidity 23 percent, barometer 28.14 inches, adjusted altitude 2,795 feet, track temperature 73 degrees.

Davis with the starting line advantage and drove through some tire shake and runs his quickest pass of the weekend for the win. Johnson slowed from his qualifying time, but there were no apparent problems.

Cowie got out of the groove and he got real close to the centerline, then the engine went away. Isbell was able to chase him down around 800 feet and just drove away.

A couple good lights, and Demke was first off the line. Demke dropped a cylinder on left side and the car was pushed toward the wall, but he was able to drive to the win. Ahten slowed from his qualifying time in a losing effort. Demke will have lane choice over Isbell in the semifinals.

Cox Jr. is out of the gate first and then is up in smoke by 200 feet and he pedals it at least three time, but is able to get it to hook up enough to take the win light. Whiteley's car went silent early in the run. Cox Jr. will give up lane choice to Davis in the semifinal.
