LAS VEGAS - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, Tenth annual NHRA SummitRacing.com Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Right Lane: Ben Watson Runs 6.819/199.91, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 64 degrees, relative humidity 26 percent, barometer 27.44 inches, adjusted altitude 3,606 feet, track temperature 78 degrees, and it is WINDY.

He was real loose on the top end.

Left Lane: Dave Connolly No Time, Now #3
Right Lane: Gordie Rivera Runs 17.140/57.86, Now #2

Connolly did his burnout and then is shut off apparently leaking something on the track. Rivera really bogged as soon as he let the clutch out.

Left Lane: Rodger Brogdon Runs 6.816/203.06, Now #1
Right Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.927/197.97, Now #3

Left Lane: David Beckley Runs 6.869/203.19, Now #4
Right Lane: V. Gaines Runs 6.807/200.74, Now #1

Gaines running a engine out of his own shop now. Beckley spun the tires right off the starting line.

Left Lane: Tom Hammonds Runs 6.759/203.86, Now #1
Right Lane: Steve Spiess Runs 11.154/86.20, Now #7

Spiess with a lot of tire shake and shut off.

Left Lane: Warren Johnson Runs 6.752/205.01, Now #1
Right Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 6.764/203.83, Now #3

Johnson had 25 to 1 odds to win at the Palms. He has the quickest and fastest pass of the session.

Left Lane: Johnny Gray Runs 6.764/203.43, Now #4
Right Lane: Rickie Jones Runs 6.812/202.52, Now #6

Left Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 6.749/203.95, Now #1
Right Lane: Kurt Johnson Runs 13.782/118.80, Now #13

Johnson shook and clicked it off. Stanfield after not qualifying last weekend with a great looking pass to go to the number one spot. Greg Stanfield's incremental times: 60ft-1.001 sec., 330ft-2.822, 660ft-4.340/162.14 mph, 1,000ft-5.647.

Left Lane: Ron Krisher No Time, Now #17
Right Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.718/205.32, Now #1

Krisher had problems getting it started and didn't make the run. Anderson with a great pass to go to the number one spot. Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.999 sec., 330ft-2.809, 660ft-4.320/162.67 mph, 1,000ft-5.621.

Left Lane: Allen Johnson Runs 6.783/202.97, Now #8
Right Lane: Mike Edwards Runs 6.721/205.19, Now #2

Edwards the fastest man in Pro Stock and he goes to the number two spot, and is also right behind Anderson on the speed chart for this session. Mike Edwards' incremental times: 60ft-0.998 sec., 330ft-2.806, 660ft-4.320/162.68 mph, 1,000ft-5.622.

Left Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 9.762/93.50, Now #16
Right Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.725/204.88, Now #3

Coughlin was off the throttle by 400 feet. Line with a good pass to go to the number three spot. Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.998 sec., 330ft-2.811, 660ft-4.324/162.61 mph, 1,000ft-5.626.
